I wish that I knew my neighbor had passed away. I would have been there at the service. My heart is heavy and my heart goes out to Regina (Nae Nae), Derrick, Sharon and Karen. Ruby was a great neighbor and wonderful mother, A good cook and could make the best wine this side of the Mississippi. I will miss you and those days and Melzer will never be the same. She was good to me and I hope you all see what I wrote because I do miss those days when we were kids.

I was saddened when I heard about your passing my delightful Auntie. You will be forever loved and remembered in my heart. As a young eight year old black ‘country’ girl growing up in Memphis, your big laughter and twinkle in your eyes always made me feel like I was important.
