Always a smile, a hearty laugh, and uplifting words, was the overflow I saw. Your heart was pure. So though we grieve for the moment because separation is painful, I rejoice for 3 reasons. 1) I got to know you; 2) you are no longer separated from the God of your heart; 3) Jesus said that the pure in heart will see God. Surely those who loved you can be comforted by the assurance that you achieved the ultimate goal!

He was always kind even in his discipline. He loved the Lord and Mother Jones more than anything. I will always remember your smile, your advice, the songs you’d make up on the way to church. But most of all your desire to show everyone they are welcome. I’m going to miss you Deac!!
