    Dear Family,

My heart dropped instantly of the devastating news about Ryan. My mind went into reverse mode of Ryan, My Brother Jr., FeeFee, Poky and the rest of the little knuckleheads of our neighborhood. Fast forward to different events that brought the knuckleheads together as grown men. Never would I have ever imagine that all the knuckleheads and the rest of the E. 116th family come to see OUR Brother at such an early age. My sincerest and deepest condolences to us all!

Hello, my dear family, life is beautiful even with all the storms. However, it does present some times of sadness, but we have been given the great comforter to see us through. Take comfort in God’s word: we are of good courage and confident hope to be absent the body is to be present with God 2 Corinthians 5:8

I love you all and thank God for his grace, comfort, and strength that is with us all. Sending All My Love.

    To my big cousin Ryan,

I hate that so much time passed since we last spoke. But I know you knew I love you. I know you knew that you were always in my corner. You were consistently our reminder of how special each of us was. Never was there an interaction where you missed an opportunity to reinforce that we are Kings and Queens charged with being amazing in life. No matter what, you always spoke empowerment into me and mines. You are my blood and our imperfections perfectly balanced out whenever we spoke. I am lucky to have that infectious laugh stuck in my head and thankful for you being unapologetically you. No hustle, no con, no set up, just family pushing family to be the best version of self as possible. Your voice speaking pride and power to Me, Nyree, Keyanna, EJ, Cameron, Domino, and Katana will be missed cousin. I love you to life and hate that you are no longer physically present but your spirit is infinite and lives in us.

  • MONICA TEAGUE

This was not the news I was wanting to hear. Ryan Minor? Surely this is a mistake. GOD makes no mistakes. I know Ryan from E.116 Street. Rayn and my brother (Thomas J. Teague Jr) were best friends. Miles School, Clare E. Westropp, and then High School. Ryan was the face of E. 116 Street. Even after many moved away Ryan was still there. From the days of Kickball, Anybounce, Football in the street, and The YMCA. I knew Ryan from the early years. Even though I have not seen him in many years, I still can remember the picture of Ryan, Thomas Jr, and Allen on the graduation day from Jr High and High School.
    To the Minor/Moore family.
Please stay lifted up in these times of sorrow. GOD did not make a mistake Ryan is just on a new Journey.

Scoot, rest easy my friend/shipmate. Twas a pleasure serving along side you on USS Nicholson back in 1990. You made a brother feel welcome and Iโ€™m truly grateful. It was never a dull moment when you were around. Iโ€™ll always remember the good times. Until we meet again … brothers for life as you would always say.

  • Jimmy Queen

To the family of Ryan Minor.
My name is JD Queen. I served with your beloved family member in the Navy onboard the USS Nicholson DD982.
We called him Scooty in the Navy, we were both HTโ€™s and worked alongside each other every day. He was a kind, hard working young man, as smart as a whip, with a wonderful sense of humor. He could get me to laughing so hard I would almost wet my britches! He was like this walking sponge always asking questions, soaking up all the knowledge that he could acquire. He wanted to know every little detail about the ship, and being the very best sailor that he could be. We worked hard together and had lots of fun and good times together. Scooty was like a little brother to me. I have some great memories of him. He was a Very Fine Man, a Great Shipmate and a True Friend.
He will be Missed Greatly. I would like to express my Deepest Sympathy and Most Sincere Condolences on the Loss of Your Beloved Family Member and My Dear Friend. Praying For Yโ€™all ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
