  • Rev. Dr. Glenn Tolbert

Family let us keep the memories of her in our thoughts, and the love of God for one another in our actions in this time of bereavement. And let us not forget that God is still able to wipe all tears from our eyes, and comfort us not just now, but also in the days ahead

Family, let us keep the thought of Aunt Aris in our minds, and the love of God in our hearts, and continue to let God keep us in the time of sadness. And let us remember that God is still able to comfort us in this time of bereavement, as well as in the days ahead.

Mother Avis Gay was such a lovely, beautiful, gifted woman. She was always such a blessing to me whenever I was in her presence or when I spoke to her by phone. “Her works do follow her.” Truly, the world is a better place because she lived, she touched so many lives in her simple and sweet way.

All the family and friends will miss her, but she will be especially missed by Dr. Michael and Tina Gay who was always there for her in her final years. Blessings to the whole family. My prayer is that Mom’s death bring healing, unity and harmony to the Gay family.
“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace” (Num 6:24-26, KJV).
